The book reveals the social history of Scythian society in comparison with the social history of other Indo-European peoples and ancient nomads of Eurasia. It explores the common patterns of emergence and functioning of nomadic societies, the formation of classes... and states within them, and the relationships between nomads and agriculturalists. A new periodization of the history of nomadism in Eurasia is proposed. Much attention is paid to the study of general theoretical problems of nomadism and early class societies.
For students and teachers of historical, geographical, sociological, and political science specialties, as well as for anyone interested in the history of one of the oldest regions of Eurasia, which stretched from the Northern Black Sea region to the Pacific Ocean.
