This workbook is a continuation of the book "Simple Lines". It is intended for very young children who are just learning to hold a pencil and draw lines. The tasks in the workbook contribute to the development of fine motor... skills. By drawing within special track stencils, the child will learn to hold the pencil confidently and master a skill that will later help them write neatly.How are the tasks structured in the workbook?
All KUMON materials use the principle of "from simple to complex". By completing the first tasks in this workbook, the child will draw zigzags, wavy lines, and loops in wide track stencils. Gradually, the tracks will become narrower, and the length of the lines will increase.
Your child will enjoy drawing lines within the colorful illustrations of this workbook.
The book includes "magic" tasks where the outlines of objects appear only after passing through the maze.
Another type of task invites the child to write some letters of the Latin alphabet. This is already the first step towards mastering writing.
